Moving With The Military Kicks Off MRE Cooking Challenge
Military home improvement and lifestyle series to shine the spotlight on meals that keep our
troops running strong in the field.
Copperas Cove, Texas — Moving With The Military announces the launch of the MRE
Cooking Challenge, a photo contest for those interested in putting a fun spin on any Meals
Ready to Eat packet from their home kitchen. Moving With The Military is a home
improvement and lifestyle web series, which shares military families’ stories with America and
provides them with a beautifully redesigned room in their house, helping make it a home .
“ I came up with the idea for a virtual military version of the popular cooking show Chopped
after working with EPIC Restaurant owner and chef Jamie Keating while filming our second
episode in Fort Benning, ” Maria Reed, host of Moving With The Military, said. “ Our goal is to
engage our military and civilian communities to get involved, have fun, and shed some light
on what many of our soldiers eat when they are out in the field.”
The cooking challenge runs from Tuesday, August 22, 2017 through Friday, September 1,
2017. Entrants must submit a photo of the unique dish they created using any MRE packet
they chose and any additional ingredients from their kitchen, along with the recipe, to

Three lucky winners will be announced on Thursday, September 7, 2017, and will based off of
the following titles: Most Creative, Best Presentation, and Fan Favorite (to let America
decide). Prizes will include a $200 Visa gift card for each category winner.
